My process begins with a strategic plan to ensure your vision becomes reality. I carefully consider how and where you will use your photographs whether it be within a cherished family gallery wall, for a statement piece, or a new collection series. Telling your story, authentically and with careful consideration, is my goal. I offer a plethora of photographic options, from wall art to custom-created albums and portfolios, I look forward to exceeding your expectations while creating a long-standing relationship.
To best cater to our clients’ needs we offer telephone, video and in-person design consultations. We use the consultation process to understand the intimate details of your goals. Understanding these dynamics helps us capture personalities and relationships between our subjects. During our consultations we will answer questions about
• Optimal wardrobe styling
• What you receive for your investment
• Shoot location options (in-studio versus on location at your home, company or outdoors)
• Who to include (pets are a popular option, and we always encourage including them)
Wardrobe styling is an integral part of your session. By discussing your options, and lending insight into what photographs well, our wardrobe consultations ensure you will feel your most confident during your shoot. Finalizing your wardrobe details one week prior to your shoot date allows plenty of time for last minute changes.
If you’ve had your family photographed in the past, you might remember that it can be the teeniest bit stressful. Not to worry. As the mother of two and with more than two decades of experience under her belt, Flo is familiar with all types of kid shenanigans and family dynamics at every age and stage. If you can get them dressed and get to the shoot location, we will handle the rest.
Approximately one week after your photo shoot, you will come to the studio for your view and order appointment. This is the time set aside to finalize your portrait order. Flo will walk you through the entire photoshoot and determine your favorite images. Using the displays in our studio as examples, she will work with you to decide what kind of display you would like, including framing and sizing options. Flo will guide you every step of the way using your goals for your home design to achieve your vision for your family portraits.
About 4-6 weeks after your order has been placed, your portraits will be delivered to your home ready to hang. If you are based locally, we partner with Teton Art Services who can provide high-quality installation and art handling.
You’re thrilled that your portraits are hung on your walls with care, but what about next year, and the year after that? Working with us, we can help you create a vision for future sessions as your family grows and changes, and based on the design vision for your home. The pieces are curated to look good now and be able to move throughout your home as you add to your family art collection over time.
